Less than a month to go...

With official volleyball tryouts less than a month away, there are some things to keep in mind:

• Team Camp is July 27-30. Send in your registration now, and be ready to learn andwork hard.
• Tryouts (and the entire season) will be physically and mentally challenging, so make sure you're preparing yourself for that on a daily basis. If you're not physically exerting yourself daily, your body won't be up to par in August.
• Touch a ball as often as possible - juggle, partner pepper, play sand, play league, take private lessons, enroll in mini camps at local clubs. This is our preseason - what you do now will help you stand out in August, whether good or bad.
• Stay positive!!!

You have less than a month of summer left. Enjoy it, but spend some of it on volleyball. We will be playing matches before we know it, so do your part to be ready.

Volleyball Tryouts

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!! Volleyball tryouts begin Monday, August 3rd at 7:30 am!!! If you have ANY interest at all, COME to tryouts and be a part of the groundfloor of Lady Falcon Volleyball!

LADY FALCON VOLLEYBALL CAMPS

The dates have been set for Lady Falcon Volleyball Camp and the First Annual Lady Falcon Volleyball TEAM Camp. LFVC will be held at North Forney High June 15-18, and is open to all incoming 2nd-9th graders. The morning camp will run from 8:00-11:30 each day and will be open to all incoming 2nd-6th graders. The afternoon camp will run from 1:00-4:30 each day for all incoming 7th-9th graders. Campers do not need to attend Forney schools or live in the Forney ISD to be eligible to attend. Camp is open to all males and females within the given age range. The cost of LFV Camp is $65 if turned in or postmarked by June 1st and $75 if turned in or postmarked after June 1st. Walk-up registration will also be available at the $75 rate on the first day of camp. This price includes your camp T-shirt and volleyball souveniers. Awards will be given, and the girls will have a lot of fun. Camp brochures are available through elementary physical education teachers and middle school coaches. TEAM Camp will be held July 27-30 at North Forney High School from 2:00-6:00 pm daily. Team camp is designed to be a preseason learning tool for all girls that will be trying out for the program in August. Team camp will be run by Elite Volleyball, an Austin-based club, and will cost $100 to all campers. Team camp is open to incoming 9th and 10th females only and will be an eventful week packed full of offensive and defensive systems, skills development, and fundamental coaching. I highly encourage all girls interested in trying out for volleyball to attend team camp, as it will be a very useful tool in getting a head start on the season. Team camp forms will be distributed through athletic periods and at volleyball camp as well.
